Tea Ceremony

Chado, the Way of Tea, is deeply interwoven with Zen practice and Japanese culture more broadly. For this Saturday afternoon program, we’ll have lunch at Zen Center and then travel together (or meet up) at Zenshuji in Little Tokyo. There we’ll receive a thorough lesson in how to participate in tea ceremony, and how to bring this practice into our daily lives. We’ll also have the opportunity to visit and learn about Zenshuji’s impressive shrine hall.

You need not bring any special materials or have any prior experience although tea fans of all levels are welcome!
