Zazenkai (Part-time)
With Sensei Tom Dharma-Joy Reichert
June 5 - 6, 2050
Zazenkai is a daylong silent retreat devoted to the practice of zazen. This zazenkai, offered both in-person at ZCLA and via Zoom, is an opportunity to intensify and deepen your practice through the experience of periods of uninterrupted meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), a dharma talk, service, face-to-face meetings with a teacher, as well as time for mindful work practice (samu) and meals. Zoom participants will have time to eat, walk and do their own samu at home, then link back into the sesshin schedule. Full time participation is encouraged. If you wish to participate part time, please let Myoki know your precise attendance, including expected arrival and departure times. Part time consists of at least a half a day, including all scheduled activities. Housing is an option for those wishing to stay at the Zen Center on Friday evening, although space is limited. (First come, first served.)
